It’s so Korean that all of the employees are probably related. Tobang is so Korean, you’ll feel like you’re at your Korean aunties’ house. I'd be here more often if I didn't feel like their paycheck everytime I came. (The server just walked away when I tried to explain what I wanted, saying that I needed to order more and up front.) Will see how they do. But I'll put my foot down harder and try to control the pace.

I'll probably come back next time I need my BBQ fix. I miss being able to sit down, order a couple cuts of meat at a time, and being able to savor each type of meat over my drink and conversation. Such a shame this place totally misses the mark on that part of Korean BBQ experience. Restaurants wouldn't dare do that back home, even if they had to change out the charcoal over the meal. My past experience was the same, except it was a lot busier then. Everything was cooked faster than I could eat. Only after I've ordered enough to feed the entire restaurant, which came out mostly at the same time, and they're getting done with their frenzied cooking, they smiled and told me to relax and take my time. But I do hate that the server always rushes me to order, pushes me to order a lot and to eat fast. “Bit on the salty side” Over all 3.5-4 stars for Andy’s

I also sampled the baby back ribs, they are very moist and come with sauce on the side. The quality of the beef in my opinion is not the greatest and I am experiencing a bit of reflex “if you know what I mean” The flavor “with the BBQ sauce they give you on the side” was very good, too good actually cuz the next thing I knew was my burger had mysteriously disappeared and I was left munching on their french fries which were also very good. C The bacon “a lot of Bacon” was cooked super crispy, just how I like it. It was almost like the cook was trying to help this gringo out. Now normally I will take off stars for that, but you know what? The cheddar cheese “I think” was better. I ordered a cheese burger with Swiss and bacon “slightly pink in the middle please” what I got was exactly that except they put on Cheddar cheese. I liked it a lot as it brought me back to a more simpler time. The look inside is kind of cowboy rustic meets 60’s diner. The walls are lined with rows of snapshots signed by happy diners, and there are beautiful orchid plants everywhere.Last time I ate at Andy’s they were in Campbell and the original owner was still alive “yah that long ago”Īs you walk in there are 2 sides, on the left there is a bar area with dining tables and on the right, just dining tables. You can also get food to take out but you pay by the ounce, I believe (my son has done this in the past). You can go back as often as you wish, all you can eat for a very reasonable price.

If you want any side appetizers (they have corn, fried chicken, egg rolls etc.) you can get another plate for those. When you first arrived the waitress assigned you a table, so you sit down to eat. When it is ready they plate it and hand it to you. When it is your turn for your food to be cooked, one of the two men doing the cooking on a large circular griddle first dump your meat bowl onto the grill and with two long metal chopstick-like tools, walk around the circle as they push the food along and it cooks, adding water as needed at a certain point they dump the veggie bowl contents you've provided, on top of the meat that has already cooked. There is a printed legend on the wall to help you select the sauces you'd like the most, and you ladle each over the meat and/or veggies in your bowls. Next are the various sauces (garlic, bbq, and various spiced varieties). The meats are paper thin slices frozen into curls (beef, pork, chicken or lamb), and the vegetables are numerous - chopped tomato, onions, basil, lettuce, bean sprouts, and many other veggies, which you pile into your veggie bowl, as well as fresh rice and chow mein noodles. You take two bowls, one for meat and one for vegetables, and select each type of food from the bins along a cafeteria-like line. Delicious food cooked in front of you while you wait. My son has been coming here for quite a few years, and I started going as well.
